Video Conferencing as a Service (VCaaS) and Other Document Sharing Solutions

July 19th, 2011,

Customers often ask us about the differences between CompleteView – our Video Conferencing as a Service (VCaaS) – and other services designed primarily for document sharing and mass webinars.

It is difficult to do a comparison between both as we are not comparing like with like.  For example, services like WebEx   has its origins in a document sharing environment with video added on and is primarily used for webinars.  CompleteView comes from Video Conferencing environment with content sharing added on and is primarily used for Videoconferencing.  Undoubtedly there is some commonality between both solutions but we believe that CompleteView represents a higher value proposition in terms of features and functionality and at a very competitive price.

CompleteView incorporates personal telepresence as well as full integration with existing or new high end room based systems.  CompleteView is as simple to use as a telephone.  Each end station has its own presence page allowing you to see who is on line. It’s as simple to use as making a phone call (could also be described as a video PBX) yet still gives all the benefits of document sharing and face to face team collaboration. Simply select the name and call the person.

Video quality can be up to full HD (1080p) with CompleteView, much higher resolution than WebEx, and combined with smooth motion and no picture break up gives a very natural TV-like experience – vitally important when it comes to person to person conference or multi party conference. New users can be added in less than 4 hours.

CompleteView was designed for multipoint video conferencing, and does not slow down as you add more video participants or start live sharing. CompleteView technology automatically adjusts video quality for each participant based on their individual, second-to-second bandwidth and CPU availability giving crystal clear on-screen images.
